2025 Adult Learn to Row: Level 1 |
Learn to Row Level 1 course is designed for the beginner adult. It is an introduction to the sport by learning sweep rowing in an 8-man shell. We teach you the essentials such as handling the equipment, following standard rowing commands, learning techniques on land with the ergs and dockside rower as well as experiencing the on-water rowing with your crew. We hope that you have fun and enjoy rowing at VRC

2025 Adult Learn to Row: Level 2 |
Rowers completing Level 1 (sweep) are now able to register for the adult Level 2 sculling course. The participants are in a quad and will build on their rowing experience with instruction both on land and on the water.

2025 Junior Learn to Row Summer Camp |
This is a 1 week (5 day) summer camp for teens to learn basic rowing skills. This is designed for beginners. Eligibility: Ages: 13- 17 years Height min: 5'0" Weight min: 110 lbs

Adaptive Para Program 2025/2026 |
Provides athletes with a physical, sensory or intellectual disability the opportunity to be active on the water, get involved in a fun and friendly club environment, and participate in a variety of competitions.

Junior Program 2025/2026 |
Rowing Program for ages 12 to under 19 years. Must be approved for entry. There will be three categories the junior program: development, intermediate and competitive. Development athletes will pay the base fee, and intermediate/competitive athletes will pay the base amount plus an "additional coaching" amount. All costs associated with regattas, special training sessions and camps are additional. Training times vary depending on athlete but could include: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4:00-6:00pm, and Saturday & Sunday 10:00 am-12:00pm Fees are not payable through the Rowing Canada website. Masters: Saturday Training Schedule 2025/2026 |
Masters program is open to rowers over the age of 21 who want to focus on competition. Focus is on training for competitive racing with emphasis on technique. Many athletes also do extra practices at other times, both on the water and on land. Practice sessions are currently held: Saturday 8:00 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Fees are not payable through the Rowing Canada website. Please contact the VRC office for assistance with fees.

Novice Program 2025/2026 |
The Novice Program is open to first year rowers who have completed the Learn-to-Row levels 1 and 2 courses. The program is also accepting of experienced rowers who may have been away from the sport for a while and looking to take steps to come back to rowing. Practice times are currently Saturday @ 12:00 noon and Monday and Thursday evenings Fees are not payable through the Rowing Canada website. Please contact the VRC office for assistance with fees. (Please note this program will start in October 2024 and run until the end of September 2025)
