If you have spent time with Rockies RC, learning to row, recreational rowing, competitive, guest rowing, board member etc. you are welcome to rejoin us as an alumni member. You will have access to the boats and coaching when you visit the club. Anyone going on the water needs a coach with them so please contact the club about this. The fee of $67.75 listed covers membership with Rowing Canada and Rowing BC. If you are an up to date member of another club drop in fee is $20.00

In 6, 1(+) hour lessons, you learn to row. $100.00 fee breakdown: $32.25 are club fees and $67.75 are dues to RCA and RBC
After lessons, join the Club for recreational or competitive rowing opportunities. We teach lessons on Jimsmith Lake, 10 minutes from Cranbrook, BC. Skills learned: vocabulary, moving boats to water, using oars, parts of the boat and oars, on water skills in the boat ie. rowing individually and in a crew, how to set a course, starts...and more. A $200.00 Membership with Rockies Rowing Club offers the following opportunities: 1. For the non-competitive individual, rowing is a moderate to vigorous exercise. Adding this program to your 150 minutes of exercise per week is an acceptable way to build health and wellness. Crew rowing adds a social element to your experience. Rowing is a non-weight bearing, whole body exercise that has been described as the most beautiful sport there is. We row from May to October. 2. As a sport rower you have access to continued coaching and use of club boats under supervision. For Competitive individuals (youth to masters) Rockies RC attends regattas. You will enjoy the team aspect of rowing, learning starts, race strategy and more. Training with others in sculling and sweep boats or by yourself in a single. Competitive rowers have extra fees (over the member fee) (seat fees for Rowing Canada, Rowing BC and a possible regatta fee by the host club as well as travel, food and accommodation costs) (Every 2 years the BC Summer Games provides rowing competitions for youth U17 as of Dec 31 of the given year. If selected the participant will pay an extra fee to attend the games, which covers a racing singlet in Zone 1 colour, travel, food and accommodation).
