2019/2020 Junior Development Winter Season This program is aimed at youth in grades 9 through 12 who want to develop their rowing skills and aerobic ability. The development program will train 5 sessions/week as the following schedule: 
  • Monday: Ergometer session
  • Wednesday: Dryland power/endurance circuit.  
  • Friday: Core strength/Muscular mobility Session
  • Saturday: Double on-water session. Session 1: 9 am - 11 am, session 2: 12 pm- 2pm. 
The programming will develop and prepare the athlete for the upcoming spring racing season with dryland sessions focusing on aerobic base, power to weight ratio and injury prevention (core and mobility). On the water, sessions will focus on the fundamental technical skills necessary for spring racing.

2019/2020 Junior Novice Winter Season This program is targeted at athletes in grades 9 through 12 who have just completed their first high school season. Winter is a season to develop strength, aerobic capacity and technical skill in anticipation of the spring racing season. Athletes will continue to row three-session/week with a maintained focus on fundamental skill development. This program will act as a transitional season for those who would like to continue rowing. Spring and summer seasons are the big focus in rowing as a summer sport. The novice winter season will help those new to the sport transition into spring racing at their current commitment level to the sport, allowing for growth and development for spring racing.  The Novice program will keep the following schedule: 
  • Tuesday: 4pm - 6pm. Ergometer session
  • Saturday: 9-11am, 12-2pm. Double on water session with a 1-hour lunch break.

2019/2020 Junior U15 Winter Season This program is for young athletes in grades 7 & 8. No experience is necessary to register for this program. The U15 program will serve both as an introduction to the sport for anyone wanting to give rowing a try, and a development opportunity for those eager young rowers who are looking to race.  The U15 program will do three sessions per week as two on-water sessions on Saturday and one dryland session on Friday.  
  • Friday 4pm - 6pm: Dryland session (ergometers, core, games) 
  • Saturday 9 am -11 am and 12 pm to 2 pm: On water sessions with a 1-hour lunch break.

2020 Junior Non-Competitive Program This program is aimed at juniors who want to stay in contact with rowing but aren't interested in racing during the spring season. Participants will join our other junior programming during the Saturday double session.

2020 Junior Novice/U15 Spring Season The novice/U15 program is for athletes either below the age of 15 or in their first year of rowing. Crews will race in novice events or U15 at a number of local regattas throughout the spring season. The programming will look to build fundamental technical skills and confidence in the boat through training and racing.
