Spring Competitive (Junior A Men)

The Spring Competitive program is for junior athletes who want to develop their technical ability, rowing specific fitness, and racing skill. The goal of the program is to support the athletes towards achieving their goals while giving them positive experiences and opportunities for success. The program is open to both experienced athletes who have raced in previous Spring and Summer seasons and to novice athletes who have completed a High School season or Intermediate Rowing program.

During the Spring season, athletes will race at many local regattas on the Lower Island with the majority taking place in March, April, and May (see Regatta Calendar below). There will also be opportunities for athletes who are at an appropriate competitive level to race at national and international regattas such as the Canadian Secondary School Championships (CSSRAs), Windermere Cup, Canadian Henley, Royal Henley, or Junior National Team Trials. All fees are included for local racing; additional charges will be assessed for off Island and optional regattas.
