The Intermediate rowing program is for rowers who 

have completed their Learn to Row at LYC or another club, and who are continuing to develop their skills before moving on the Masters program. Intermediate rowers receive extra mentorship and support from Masters rowers and coaches for skill acquisition and safety, and are able to row at designated, supervised rows. Members can row as Intermediate rowers for a maximum of two years. Rowers who are members of LYC can join the rowing program at a discount. Fee is $150+ $22.50 HST= $172.50 and includes the $55.95 RCA and RowNS fees. Once you have registered here with RCA, email  Rowing@lyc.ns.ca; you will be sent a LYC waiver to complete and an invoice to pay your fees before you get on the water. Do not pay on the RCA website.

The Intermediate rowing program is for rowers who

Over 10 hours of instruction, usually held over one or two weekends, you will learn the basics of sculling (rowing with two oars) in stable coastal rowing boats. Participants will leave with a good basic understanding of rowing equipment, boat handling and safety, rowing technique, balance and steering, as well as how to launch and land boats safely on our beach. The fee is $195+ $27.30 HST= $222.30 and includes $55.95 RCA and Row NS fees (for insurance and liability). Email Rowing@lyc.ns.ca to express interest in LTR and you will be contacted when we schedule a course. Then register here and email Rowing@lyc.ns.ca ; you will be sent a LYC waiver and an invoice to pay before the start of the course. Do not pay on the RCA website.
Learn to Row Continuation 2026 114.00 55.95 169.95 2026-04-09 2027-03-31
Rowers who have completed the Learn to Row Course can continue rowing for the remainder of the season at designated, supervised rows, with support and mentorship from Masters rowers and coaches. Fee is $100+14.00 HST=$114. Once you have registered here with RCA, email Rowing@lyc.ns.ca ; you will be sent a LYC waiver and an invoice to pay before you get on the water. Do not pay on the RCA website.  This RCA form adds 55.95 but you have already paid RCA and Row NS so LYC invoice will not add the extra

Experienced Masters rowers who are only in the Lunenburg area for a short time can join for a 2 week membership and row during any scheduled rows. Fee is $145+ $20.30 HST= $165.30 and includes the $55.95 RCA and Row NS fees (For insurance and liability). Once you have registered here with RCA, email  Rowing@lyc.ns.ca to let us know when you would like to begin your membership; you will be sent a LYC waiver to complete and an invoice to pay your fees before you get on the water. Do not pay on the RCA website.

The Masters Program is for experienced rowers over the age of 21 who have completed Learn to Row and developed their skills in the LYC Intermediate Program, and/or have experience rowing at other clubs, to a level that they can row safely and competently in group rows. Members may row at any regularly scheduled morning and evening rows. Rowers who are members of LYC can join the rowing program at a discount. Fee is $165  plus HST 23.10.=$ 188.10   This does  include the  RCA  and Row NS fees of 55.95 (liability and insurance) Once you have registered here with RCA, email Rowing@lyc.ns.ca; you will be sent a LYC waiver to complete and an invoice to pay your fees before you get on the water. Do not pay on the RCA website.

The Masters Program is for experienced rowers over the age of 21 who have completed Learn to Row and developed their skills in the LYC Intermediate Program, and/or have experience rowing at other clubs, to a level that they can row safely and competently in group rows. Fee is $ 290 plus 40.60 HST =$ 330.60 and includes the $55.95 RCA and Row NS fees (liability and insurance). Do not pay on the RCA website.

already belongs to another rowing club in NS and has paid Row NS and Row Canada fees .  Cost is $235 plus 32.90 HST =$267.90 
The website automatically adds the$ 55.95 dues but they will not be billed at LYC- Don't pay on the RCA website - you will be billed by LYC and will be asked to do an online Waiver- please email RowLYC once you register with RCA.
