This program is for experienced athletes who have a sound knowledge of our PRC rowing course and who do not desire or require coaching. Members in this program may row from the beginning of spring season until the end of fall season, obeying ALL club rules, in particular cold water and swift water rules. Members are required to receive permission from the season’s senior coach or coordinator to use any Club equipment. Water priority is given to competitive programs during spring, summer and fall periods causing Club Rowing members use of facilities to be restricted during these times. The $600.00 fee includes RCA membership fee, Row Ontario membership fee, PRC membership fee. HST is $78.00. As with all competitive memberships, this membership must be approved by the senior coach or coordinator. It allows for members who don’t live in the Peterborough area to access up to 10 on-water sessions a year and to compete as part of PRC crews. Regatta seat fees and transportation are not included. Cost for transportation of boats to regattas is a $25 flat fee plus regatta entries costs. The $320 fee includes RCA membership fee, Row Ontario membership fee, PRC membership fee. HST is $41.60. The Competitive Annual team is for all Junior, U23/Sr, and Masters competitive athletes. See program specific information at https://www.peterboroughrowingclub.com/. Programming and communication will be separated accordingly after registration. *Note: Athletes rowing for a university program should register for the summer only competitive program. Athletes will follow a rigorous training program, dedicating themselves to competing at provincial and national level competitions. Athletes may be invited to, or declare interest in, the team. Team and crew selection is subject to the coaches for each program. Your membership will run until from April 1st, 2025 to March 31, 2026, and allow access to all on and off-water activities run by the Club throughout this period. Winter programs are available with team training typically occurring at the Trent Athletic Centre (TAC). PRC members are required to purchase a TAC membership which is offered at a discounted price. This includes 2 fall regattas (Head of the Rideau and Head of the Trent). There is limited coaching from PRC in the fall, as priority for coaching and equipment goes to Trent University crews. Winter programs are available with team training typically occurring at the Trent Athletic Centre (TAC). PRC members are required to purchase a TAC membership which is offered at a discounted price.
