|Boat Storage for Double 2021||
Register for this program if you require storage for a double in the Guelph Rowing Club boat house. In addition, you must complete the GRC Private Shell Policy / Acknowledgement Form, which can be found on the Guelph Rowing Club website. |Masters Competitive Rowing 2021||GRC Masters Program is open to adult rowers, age 21 or older, interested in regular training and competing in Masters events at local regattas. |Recreational Rowing Full Season 2021||
To join this program you must have previously completed a Learn-to-Row program or have prior rowing experience.
Crews are set on an informal basis depending on what combination will work to fill the boats. Some coaching will be provided.
|Senior Competitive 2021||This competitive rowing program is for U23 (under 23years of age, Sr. B) and Senior (23 years and older, Sr. A) athletes in the Train to compete (T2C) phase of Long term athlete development. Athletes in this program should have previous rowing experience - racing experience is a definite asset. Training will include two workouts 6 days/week; 5:00-7:30AM, PM training times TBD. Initial crew selections will be made in early to mid-June. Final crew selection for the RowOntario Championships and the Royal Canadian Henley Regattas will be determined by mid-July. Selections will be based on fitness and ability as determined through, but not restricted to, ergometer testing, on-water technical assessments and "coachability", and seat racing as required.||595.00||2021-04-01||2022-03-31|
|University (Varsity) Selected 2021||Select this program if you have completed University (Varsity) Training Camp and been notified by the coach that you have been selected to row as part of the 2021 University (Varsity) Program. Fees must be paid in full and all required forms signed before oars touch water. Athletes who are registered in the 2021 Guelph Rowing Club senior competitive program must register for University (Varsity) Selected but are not required to pay the fee.||412.87||2021-09-12||2022-03-31|
|University Novice 2021||
Guelph Rowing Club and University of Guelph offer a University Novice Rowing Program, open to students wishing to try competitive rowing, as rowers or coxswains - no previous experience required.
Athletes are selected through a two phase open tryout. There are two opportunities to complete Phase 1: Session One September 9 or Session Two September 10, 2021, both 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Athletics Centre West or Small Gym (TBC). Each begins with a brief information session followed by a try out to assess basic fitness (Beep Test). Please wear clothing and shoes suitable for running. Athletes selected to Phase 2 will be invited to an orientation at the Guelph Rowing Club Boat House, September 11, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (bus transportation provided). IMPORTANT NOTE: Participants must have received their second COVID-19 vaccination no later than September 16 to be fully vaccinated by September 30.
